Package of angina pectoris examination using the world’s latest 320-column CT scan, cardiac ultrasonography to check for cardiac movement and valvular disease, etc., and brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) test which reveals cardiac failure without symptoms by blood test. There are only few institutions offering cardiac examination using the 320-column CT scan even in Japan.
*The 320-column CT scan allows image acquisition of the whole heart in one picture in only 0.35 seconds for the first time ever, enabling doctors to make highly accurate diagnosis of angina pectoris. Its accuracy is comparable to that of cardiac catheter. The scan minimizes the radiation dose and the amount of contrast agent used, compared with conventional CT scans.

[Meals on the day before the test]
1) Finish dinner by 9 pm. Take the medication you are on by then, if any.
2) You are required to avoid fatty or indigestible meals, or alcoholic beverages.
3) You are also required to fast after 9 pm. *You may drink small amount of water or tea.

[On day of the test]
1) You are strictly required to fast and not to smoke on the day of the test. (You may drink small amount of fluid.)
2) Women on period on the day of the test will be ask to come back to our center on later day (within 1 week) for a urine test, because accurate determination cannot be made due to blood in urine sample.

We recommend lung CT scan providing multi-slice image of the lung. The low-dose radiation 320-column CT scan we use for lung examination is safe with less than 10 % of radiation dose compared with conventional CT scans, yet it offers high-resolution. In addition to the examination for lung cancer, examination for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), the 4th major cause of death in the world, as well as lung tumor marker test (blood test) are performed.

Pancreas Examination Program for non-Japanese clients (Haibara General Hospital)

Pancreatic cancer used to be feared because it was difficult to detect in early stage and was life-threatening. The cancer still may not be cured if it is not detected in the stage without symptoms. Pancreatic cancer is difficult to be detected by regular check-ups, or even by our Standard Complete Physical Examination Program. Pancreas examination is highly effective in detecting early pancreatic cancer, but there are only few medical institutions offering the examination even in Japan. Brain Examination Program for non-Japanese clients　（Haibara General Hospital）

MRI scan can detect cerebral infarction or cerebral tumor without symptoms. MRA scan can detect cerebral aneurysm which may cause subarachnoid hemorrhage, or a site of the narrowing or clogging artery in the brain. Carotid ultrasonography checks for the risk of clogging carotid which sends blood to the brain in the near future, or of developing cerebral embolism. All examinations are simple procedure without any pain.
