program name
PRP (Autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy, APS (Autologous Protein Solution) therapy (Toranomon COR)
genre
  • orthopaedic surgery:arthrosis
  • regenerative medicine:arthrosis
program details
This treatment consists of peripheral blood collection, PRP/APS preparation, and PRP/APS administration, in that order. Blood is collected from the patient and centrifuged to prepare PRP/APS (the amount of blood collected will vary depending on the site of PRP/APS administration). The blood is then injected into the diseased area. Since PRP/APS is made from autologous blood, there is little concern about side effects, but in rare cases, temporary pain or swelling may occur during administration. The procedure takes about 40 minutes from blood collection to PRP/APS production, and can be performed as a day treatment. This treatment is expected to provide pain relief and tissue repair. We have treated approximately 1,600 cases so far, including those at our Nagoya clinic.
duration (days)
The treatment consists of peripheral blood collection, PRP/APS preparation, and PRP/APS administration, in that order. The time required is approximately 1.5 hours.
