program details
We provide a low-side-effect treatment that delivers anticancer drugs directly into the abdominal cavity for patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis or peritoneal dissemination.
Our intraperitoneal therapy involves administering chemotherapy directly into the peritoneal cavity through an implanted port, tailored to each patient’s condition. Treatment can be given up to once a week, and if the disease improves, the frequency may be reduced to once or twice per month. Each session takes about two hours, and outpatient treatment is possible.
Our physicians, with more than 30 years of experience and over 10,000 cumulative cases, create individualized treatment plans and perform approximately 500 intraperitoneal therapies each year. Once the disease is stabilized, systemic chemotherapy can also be resumed in the patient’s home country. Many patients who were told they had reached the terminal stage of peritoneal carcinomatosis continue to receive care at our clinic.
We also provide treatment for malignant pleural effusion. In addition, our gynecologic oncology specialists have extensive expertise in treating uterine cancer (including cervical and endometrial cancer) and ovarian cancer. We also offer treatment for primary peritoneal carcinoma. Inquiries regarding cancers of unknown primary origin and peritoneal cancer are also welcome.
