Gastrointestinal Surgical Treatment for Malignant Tumors 【Kanazawa Medical University Hospital】

We provide surgical treatment for malignant tumors of the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, colon, liver, biliary tract, and pancreas, as well as abdominal soft tissue tumors (sarcomas).

Robotic surgery is performed for the esophagus, stomach, and rectum, while laparoscopic surgery is offered for other areas.

We provide robot-assisted surgery for esophageal, gastric, and rectal cancers. Laparoscopic surgery is performed for colon cancer, as well as selected liver and pancreatic cancers.

For advanced liver cancer, biliary tract cancers (including gallbladder and bile duct cancer), and pancreatic cancer, we offer extended surgery with vascular reconstruction.

We also provide surgical treatment for abdominal soft tissue tumors (sarcomas). For unresectable gastrointestinal cancers and sarcomas, we collaborate with medical oncology and radiation oncology to offer systemic therapy and radiation treatment.
