Prior evaluation for acceptance is required, and as the purpose of travel is medical treatment, necessary procedures must be completed before coming to Japan. - QIs it possible to arrange group health checkups?

In general, many medical institutions accept a small number of patients (approximately 1 to 4 people), so for groups of 5 or more, there are many items that require prior coordination. A preparation period is also necessary, so please consult us as early as possible.
- QWhat information should I prepare before visiting Japan?
- AThe required preparations vary depending on the type of medical care you wish to receive in Japan. For health checkups, each examination has specific contraindications, so it is necessary to confirm in advance and report whether any of these apply. Example) MRI examination: Because a strong magnetic field is used, patients with cardiac pacemakers, cochlear implants, metal in the body (such as surgical bolts or vascular stents), tattoos, or those who are pregnant cannot undergo this examination. For treatment, the information that needs to be provided in advance varies depending on the type of disease and treatment method. In addition to medical information such as the attending physician’s medical records and, in cases such as cancer, CT image data in DICOM format, it is also necessary to prepare personal data such as age and gender in advance.

- QIs a medical stay visa always required?

In advance, we will review the patient’s medical information and ask about the type of medical care you wish to receive in Japan. Based on your requests and medical condition, Japanese medical institutions will indicate what kind of treatment can be provided, and our center will inform you of an estimated cost accordingly.
- QCan I visit a clinic while traveling in Japan?
- AExcept for health checkups, examinations, and cosmetic purposes, if you come to Japan for the purpose of treating a pre-existing condition, prior acceptance by a medical institution is required. - AYes. Medication will be prescribed after a doctor's consultation if necessary.
- QIs consultation for treatment in Japan free?

- AYes. The medical institution where you received care will issue it (for a fee). Depending on the target language, the medical coordinator may also provide translation (for a fee).
- QIs it possible to bring an interpreter designated by myself, such as a family member?
- AFor interpretation during medical consultations and important explanations, objectivity and accuracy are essential. Therefore, interpretation will be provided by medical interpreters arranged by the medical institution (including Japanese medical coordinators who act as intermediaries). The cost will be borne by the patient.
- QCan I receive care without speaking Japanese?
