We specialize in same day laparoscopic surgery for inguinal hernia. An inguinal hernia is a condition in which a hole develops in the muscle of the groin (base of the leg) and internal organs prolapse. Early treatment is recommended before a hernia develops because emergency surgery may be required if the intestines become lodged in the hole in the muscle. Laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery performed at our hospital is a surgical procedure with a small wound of about 5 mm, which is less stressful on the patient and allows for an early return to society. The surgery takes about one hour, and the patient can go home after about two hours of rest. The hospital stay is about 4 hours. You can return to work the next day. All surgeries are performed by surgeons who are board-certified in surgery and gastroenterology and anesthesiologists who are board-certified in anesthesiology. As of April 2023, we are performing over 50 surgeries per month.
