Precautions / Contraindications

Fasting is required from 9:00 PM the day before until the end of the test. Strenuous activities (such as golf, yoga, etc.), massages, or any actions involving physical movement are prohibited the day before.
Fasting blood glucose levels above 200 make testing impossible. Imaging will be distorted if the level is above 140. Those with high blood glucose levels or diabetes cannot undergo the test.
