Selective Intra-arterial Chemotherapy Combined with Proton Beam Therapy【 Chubu International Medical Center】
By combining selective intra-arterial chemotherapy with highly precise proton beam therapy, we provide intensive treatment for head and neck cancers.
Our specialist physicians, who have extensive experience with one of the world’s largest case volumes, deliver treatment with a strong emphasis on safety and precision.By combining selective intra-arterial chemotherapy with highly precise proton beam therapy, we provide intensive and effective treatment for head and neck cancers. Our physicians have been continuously performing intra-arterial chemotherapy via the superficial temporal artery for many years and possess one of the world’s largest accumulations of cases and extensive clinical experience. In addition, by using a U.S.-made proton therapy system with world-class precision, we achieve highly accurate and safe irradiation. The treatment period generally lasts approximately 2 to 3 months. In many cases, imaging examinations at the completion of treatment confirm tumor disappearance or reduction.

Proton Beam Therapy for Liver and Pancreatic Cancers【 Chubu International Medical Center】
Led by a highly experienced former Director of the National Institutes for Quantum Science and Technology (QST) Hospital, we provide cancer treatment aimed at cure while preserving organ function, using highly precise proton beam therapy systems.
Proton beam therapy for liver and pancreatic cancers requires precise evaluation and control of organ motion caused by respiration, as well as gastrointestinal peristalsis and the impact on surrounding organ functions, demanding a high level of expertise and experience. At our hospital, we use a U.S.-made proton therapy system with world-class precision to deliver highly concentrated radiation doses to tumors while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues. The treatment period typically ranges from 2 to 6 weeks and is generally conducted on an outpatient basis. The physicians responsible for treatment are board-certified radiation oncologists with extensive clinical experience in particle beam therapy, who have led clinical research for many years and contributed to the establishment of treatment evidence in the field of gastrointestinal cancers, including liver and pancreatic cancers.

Focused Ultrasound Therapy (FUS)【 Chubu International Medical Center】
This is a minimally invasive treatment program for patients suffering from tremors, such as those caused by Parkinson’s disease or essential tremor.
It may be considered as one of the treatment options when sufficient effects cannot be achieved with medication alone.Focused Ultrasound Therapy (FUS) is a treatment that delivers thermal coagulation by converging approximately 1,000 ultrasound beams on a specific target deep within the brain. Unlike surgical procedures, this treatment does not require any incision of the head, resulting in high safety and enabling early return to daily and social activities. For safety reasons, each treatment session is performed on either the left or right side only. The entire treatment course, including necessary examinations and follow-up visits, is generally completed within approximately two weeks. In many cases, improvements in movement and tremor have been observed after treatment. The attending physician has over 20 years of experience in the surgical treatment of involuntary movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor.
