Gastroscopy Course 【Nagoya Ekisaikai Hospital】

This course allows for examination of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum, enabling the early detection of abnormalities.

Patients may choose either transoral or transnasal endoscopy.
The procedure is performed by experienced physicians who have conducted numerous endoscopic examinations and early cancer detections in the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum.
If any abnormal findings are detected, we will coordinate seamlessly with the appropriate clinical departments.

Precautions / Contraindications
★Please arrive at the Health Management Department at least 20 minutes before your scheduled exam.

★If you are taking antiplatelet medication, please inform us in advance at the time of booking.

★As throat anesthesia will still be effective after the procedure, do not eat, drink, or smoke for 1 to 2 hours following the exam.

★For nasal endoscopy, those with narrow nasal passages may experience nasal bleeding.

★If a biopsy is performed, there will be restrictions on meals, alcohol, and physical activity for the rest of the day. Please avoid any dinner appointments.

★Do not take insulin injections on the day of the exam.

★Take your usual morning medications upon waking, but do not take diabetes medications.

★Eat a light dinner the day before, and refrain from eating anything after 10:00 p.m.

★You may drink water until 6:00 a.m. on the day of the exam.

★Please bring one towel with you.
