"IGT Clinic was established in 2002 on the opposite shore of Kansai International Airport, the second largest international airport in Japan. The clinic specializes in Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) Therapy for cancer treatment and easily accessible from the airport by train（just one stop away）. The Clinic attracts many overseas patients, including patients from China, Korea, Vietnam, and Australia etc. The clinic owns two dedicated IVR-CT devices for Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) Therapy and conducts 800 procedures annually. The team consists of ６ radiologists, 22 medical staff, and 1２ clerks.
In 2016, IGT Clinic moved to Medical Rinku Port for a better environment. The International Division takes care of overseas patients and can provide medical services in English and Chinese."

"Unlike traditional surgery that removes cancer by cutting the body, Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) Therapy in IGT Clinic is a minimally invasive local treatment. Specifically, we advance the catheter into the arteries that feed the cancer and deliver anti-cancer drugs directly to the tumor. Then, we also deliver embolic materials to block the tumor’s blood supply, thus inhibiting the cancer growth. In other words, it's a treatment method to starve cancer out. Dr. Shinichi Hori, the chief director at IGT clinic, is recognized as a pioneer in Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) Therapy for cancer treatment. He has expanded the application of this treatment to various types of cancer, including primary lesions of lung and breast cancer, as well as liver metastases.
In addition, our clinic is the only medical institution in Japan that combines arterial embolization therapy with hyperthermia treatment to enhance the effects of anticancer drugs. In the past 20 years since the establishment, we have been dedicated to cancer treatment. Recently, we have been working on ""regenerative medicine"" that utilizes the self-repair function. Cancer treatment inevitably damages not only cancer cells but also healthy tissues. Therefore, considering the burden on the body, treatment becomes challenging when organ function is compromised. However, by bringing in regenerative medicine, it could potentially enhance our ability to restore organs to normal function, offering additional opportunities for cancer treatment. We are currently conducting mesenchymal stem cell therapy targeting chronic pain and arteriosclerosis, as well as stem cell culture supernatant therapy."
