Program Summary
"TACE is indicated for solid cancers in the area below the nose.
It is not recommended for the treatment of brain tumors or blood cancers.
【Indications for treatment】
1.Malignant Tumors
Tumors in the liver, breast, lungs, ovaries, bladder, and uterus, as well as bone metastases.
2.Benign Tumors
Uterine fibroids, giant cell tumors, and desmoid tumors.

The cancer treatment, Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) Therapy, at IGT Clinic, isn't like traditional surgery which removes cancer by cutting into the body. Specifically, we advance a catheter into the arteries that feed the cancer and deliver anti-cancer drugs directly to the tumor. Afterwards, we use embolic materials to stop the blood flow. These materials cut off the blood supply to the cancer, inhibiting its growth. Although the primary goal is to reduce the size of the cancer, this treatment can also be used for palliative purposes, such as alleviating respiratory difficulties caused by lung tumors and improving the liver function of the affected organs. If cancer exists in multiple locations, treatment will focus on the areas with more severe symptoms or those significantly impacting prognosis."
