Japan Medical & Health Tourism Center, a specialized medical coordination department established by the travel company JTB, runs a medical coordination business that helps create an environment where international visitors seeking medical care in Japan can receive treatment and stay with peace of mind, in a modern society where exchange between people in Japan and abroad continues to grow.
Drawing on the experience and resources gained through this service, we solve the medical issues that arise in travel, business and international exchange through collaboration with medical institutions, multilingual coordination and emergency support systems, providing comprehensive support for safe and comfortable travel. This initiative is attracting attention as a way to create new value by connecting medical care and tourism.

Building on the trust and networks we have carefully developed with medical professionals over many years, we work to provide more advanced and diverse medical-related support services. In collaboration with medical institutions and specialists in Japan and overseas, we create new medical services that support safety and security in every aspect of travel, business and international exchange, and provide the best support for each individual user.

  • Bubble-style medical management at MICE,
    tournaments and events(*) Proposals for bubble-style medical management at MICE, tournaments and events

    For large-scale events such as international conferences and sports tournaments, we support the establishment of a medical management system based on the "bubble" method to achieve safe operations with thorough infection control. We provide comprehensive coordination, including managing the movement of participants and staff, health checks and building a system of collaboration with medical institutions, creating an environment that can respond quickly in an emergency. We provide strong medical support so that tournaments and events can be held with peace of mind.

    *Bubble-style medical management: a system in which event participants and staff are managed as a "closed group (bubble)" with as little contact with the outside as possible, and medical care and health management are handled entirely within that group.

Drawing on JTB's worldwide network and the know-how it has built up in tourism, we analyze the needs of local markets and carry out effective promotional activities. By promoting the appeal of Japan's advanced medical services overseas, we contribute to raising the international competitiveness of the region and to sustained exchange.

    So that overseas travelers and employees on overseas assignments can depart with peace of mind, we book and arrange PCR tests and vaccinations, introduce the necessary medical institutions and coordinate schedules. We also coordinate the medical procedures required before departure, such as obtaining vaccination certificates and related documents required at the destination, supporting safe and smooth overseas travel.

    During the COVID-19 pandemic, we supported workplace vaccination programs by building complete systems, from recruiting doctors and nurses to organizing medical teams and managing operations. We reduced the on-site burden on client companies and organizations and achieved smooth operation of vaccination venues. By establishing efficient operations, we enabled safe and smooth vaccinations and provide comprehensive medical support for the health management of employees and other stakeholders.
