Our hospital performs proton therapy as an advanced medical care. We have started full equipped treatment facility installing Gantry in 2001, having accumulated clinical research data since 1983. We have established treatment environment which is able to provide safe and low invasive surgery installing such as an operation room with the intraoperative MRI hung from a ceiling. Da Vinci surgery apparatus, endoscopic surgery apparatus, etc.
Proton therapy is a very effective treatment method since it irradiates proton beam only to a lesion without damaging surrounding normal cells and with less adverse reactions. Cases of indication for this therapy is liver cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, esophagus cancer, head and neck cancer, brain tumor, cranial base tumor, and childhood cancer.
