However, the Light Adjustable Lens™ is the world’s first intraocular lens that enables patients to fine-tune their vision after surgery based on their actual visual experience and preferences. Using this lens, patients can determine their optimal prescription and visual outcome through real-world experience tailored to their lifestyle. Once the eye has healed after surgery, the lens power is adjusted by exposing it to a few minutes of ultraviolet (UV) light using a specialized device called the Light Delivery Device (LDD).   For those who wish to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, or presbyopia without wearing glasses This procedure involves implanting a small, thin lens inside the eye to correct vision. It is suitable not only for younger patients but also for those with presbyopia, offering lenses designed to address age-related near vision loss. Using detailed diagnostic data, we select the most suitable lens tailored to each individual. The surgery is performed by a certified Senior Expert Instructor in ICL surgery (recognized by STAAR Surgical), of whom there are only two in Japan as of January 2025. Unlike LASIK, this procedure does not involve cutting the cornea. Instead, under topical anesthesia, the lens is inserted through a tiny 3mm incision. The surgery takes approximately 20 minutes for both eyes.
