Medical Corporation Isana-kai Chukyo Eye Clinic
We perform cataract surgeries using the most advanced equipment and abundant intraocular lens data, and ICL (intraocular contact lens) surgeries by "Senior Expert Instructors," of which there are only two people in Japan. We are also the first in Asia to introduce LAL (Light Adjustable Lens), which customizes the power of the lens after surgery.
Since our clinic was established in 1992, we have been committed to providing personalized care to each and every one of our patients. We have set up system to provide optimal medical care to our patients by constantly learning about the leading-edge treatments and proactively introducing the most advanced examination equipment to solidify the quality of our medical care.
In addition to general ophthalmology outpatient services, we provide services for general diseases such as outpatient for special surgery (multifocal intraocular lenses), same day surgery (cataract, glaucoma, vitreoretinal, ICL (intraocular contact lens)), dry eye, myopia progression control (orthokeratology), color-blindness outpatient services, etc. We have a large number of advanced medical equipment, and our experienced specialists, nurses, and orthoptists work in unison to provide medical care and surgery.

Chukyo Eye Clinic / Myopia correction surgery ICL (intraocular contact lens)
ICL is an intraocular contact lens that corrects vision.
The lens is called ICL which corrects myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia by implanting an intraocular lens into the eye. ICL inserts a lens into the eye through a small 3mm incision without shaving the cornea different from LASIK. The feature of ICL is that the lens can be removed when there is a problem. The surgery is performed by one of only two senior expert instructors in Japan. By using the most advanced examination equipment and taking detailed data, we select the best lens for each patient. We remove any doubts or anxieties about the surgery through attentive, patient-focused counseling.

Chukyo Eye Clinic / The world's first intraocular lens (LAL) that can pursue the way of seeing after cataract surgery
This is the first treatment with light-adjustment function lenses in Asia, which enables to adjust power of vision after surgery.
In a general cataract surgery, the patient's vision is determined before the surgery, but the Light Adjustable Lens™ is the world's first intraocular lens that allows patients to pursue their desired vision after cataract surgery. With this lens, the patient can determine the power of the lens to fit his or her desired vision and lifestyle while experiencing how the vision will look in actual daily life. After the wound has healed, the lens is adjusted after cataract surgery, and the power is changed with a special device called a light delivery device (LDD) that emits ultraviolet light for several minutes. Light Adjustable Lens (LAL) and Light Delivery Device (LDD) have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Chukyo Eye Clinic / Femtosecond laser cataract surgery
Cataract surgery using femtosecond lasers is one of the most advanced ophthalmic surgical procedures, Because the laser emits pulses with a very short pulse width of one thousand trillionth of a second, it is both intense and non-invasive to the tissue because as they do not generate heat.
We perform cataract surgery using Femtosecond laser. Femtosecond lasers have been used for corneal transplants and LASIK surgeries in the past, but in recent years they have been applied to cataract surgery. Laser cataract surgery can perform corneal incision, anterior lens sac incision, and lens segmentation under the computer control, enabling safe and precise surgery even in cases there are few corneal endothelial cells and surgery is difficult, the bag (sac) in which the lens is placed is damaged or is about to come off, or when the lens is hard. Especially for premium lenses, such as multifocal intraocular lens, which require more surgical precision, precise laser cataract surgery is superior. Features Non-invasive: By smaller corneal incisions and wounds compared to conventional surgery, less pain and shorter recovery time. Advanced accuracy: Femtosecond lasers use advanced laser technology, which is considered to be highly accurate in surgery and has a low risk of complications. Customizable: Surgery can be customized to the patient's eye shape and condition, performing more accurate and safer.
