Catheter Ablation Treatment for Arrhythmias for International Patients — 3-Day Inpatient Program Performed Under General Anesthesia —【Kameda Medical Center】
Comprehensive catheter ablation treatment for various arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, and premature contractions. General anesthesia/sedation is managed by a specialist anesthesiologist, while a venous closure device helps facilitate early recovery.
- Program details
- This is a comprehensive catheter ablation treatment program for various arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, atrial tachycardia, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, premature ventricular contractions, and ventricular tachycardia, which may be accompanied by symptoms such as palpitations, bradycardia or tachycardia, chest discomfort, and dizziness.
For atrial arrhythmias and ventricular tachycardia, the procedure is performed under general anesthesia with the support of a specialist anesthesiologist—a service that is relatively uncommon in Japan. For supraventricular tachycardia and premature ventricular contractions, the procedure is performed under sedation, providing a safe and effective treatment environment.
To reduce the physical burden on patients, a venous closure device is used to minimize the duration of bed rest following the procedure.
This program is also suitable for individuals who wish to reduce their future risk of heart failure, valvular heart disease, stroke, dementia, and other complications. The standard hospitalization period is 3 days.
