Unicompartmental Joint Replacement Surgery【Osaka Medical and Pharmaceutical University Hospital】
We provide state-of-the-art, minimally invasive joint replacement treatment using high-quality, advanced implants.
Partial Knee Replacement Surgery for Osteoarthritis
This procedure is a partial knee replacement surgery for osteoarthritis of the knee, in which only the affected compartment of the knee joint is replaced. Using an advanced navigation system, we provide minimally invasive partial knee replacement surgery with high-quality implants.
Compared with total knee replacement, this minimally invasive approach causes less discomfort or foreign-body sensation in the joint and is expected to promote faster recovery and earlier return to daily activities.
Patients may not be suitable candidates if the entire knee joint is significantly deformed or if there is severe restriction of knee range of motion.
The procedure uses high-quality, leading implants manufactured in Japan or the United States.
