Gastroscopy Course 【Tokai Gastroenterology / Endoscopy clinic】

This course enables the early detection of abnormalities through a detailed examination of the pharynx, esophagus, stomach, and duodenum.

A physician with extensive experience in early cancer detection and endoscopic treatment of the pharynx, esophagus, stomach, and duodenum using state-of-the-art equipment will perform the examination. If any abnormalities are found, we will promptly refer you to a specialized facility, including our affiliated hospital, the Cancer Institute Hospital of JFCR.

From 7 days to 1 day before the scheduled examination date: 50% of the program fee
On the day before the scheduled examination date (business days): 80% of the program fee
On the day of the examination or in case of no notice: 100% of the program fee

Precautions / Contraindications
★ Due to the effects of throat anesthesia, eating, drinking, and smoking are not allowed for approximately one hour after the examination.
★ If a biopsy is performed, dietary restrictions, alcohol consumption, and physical activity will be limited on the same day. Please be mindful of any dining or social plans.
★ If you have medication that you take on an as-needed basis, such as for seizures, please bring it with you on the day of the examination.
★ Do not eat or drink after 8:00 PM on the day before the examination. ※For afternoon examinations, fasting begins at 7:00 AM on the examination day (dietary restrictions apply).
★ Do not inject insulin for diabetes.
★ Do not take oral diabetes medication.
