DWIBS Screening (SAISEIKAI OTARU Hospital)

Whole-Body Cancer Screening “DWIBS”.
Using an MRI machine, this test captures a wide range from the neck, chest, abdomen, and pelvis in a single session.
This screening does not require dietary restrictions, has a short examination time, and places minimal burden on the body.
It is a test to assess cancer risk, including breast cancer, colon cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, and prostate cancer.

Eligibility Criteria/Exclusions for Treatment
- Please inform the physician during the pre-examination consultation if you have tattoos, permanent makeup, or cosmetic tattoos. - If you wish to add brain MRI/MRA testing, it can be performed as an optional additional service. The examination will require approximately one extra hour.
Remarks
After arrival: pre-examination explanation and completion of the medical questionnaire → DWIBS examination → DVD delivery → completion. The examination results will be sent later as a digital report translated into either Chinese or English.
Precautions / Contraindications
Individuals with metal implants cannot undergo this examination:
- Those with a cardiac pacemaker implanted
- Those with a cochlear implant
- Those who have undergone stent placement surgery within the past two weeks
- Individuals with an older artificial heart valve
- Those with non-titanium cerebral aneurysm clips
- Individuals with bolts fixed due to fractures
- Those with an intrauterine contraceptive device (IUD) implanted
