A+ PET-CT Course (Sapporo Higashi Tokushukai Hospital)

This is a basic health screening course including gastroscopy, chest radiography, and abdominal ultrasound is included to gastroscopy, chest radiography and abdominal ultrasound, in which PET-CT is added. It is recommended for those who have a health screening for the first time, those who have a screening once a year for health control.

This is a two-day course that combines a basic health checkup—including upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, chest X-ray, and abdominal ultrasound—with a PET-CT scan.
It is recommended for those undergoing a comprehensive medical checkup for the first time, as well as for individuals who have annual checkups for health management.

Refrain from eating or drinking after 9:00 p.m. *You can only take a small amount of water or tea. [Precautions on the examination day] 1. Strictly avoid eating and smoking (you can only take a small amount of water). 2. If the screening takes place during your menstruation period, no precise result can be obtained for urine occult blood test and therefore you will be asked to visit our center again for urine collection at a later date (within a week).

Precautions / Contraindications
[Dietary Instructions for the Day Before the Health Checkup]

①Please finish dinner by 8:00 PM. If you are taking any prescribed medications, please take them as usual.

②Avoid fatty foods, hard-to-digest foods, and alcoholic beverages.

③Do not eat or drink after 8:00 PM. However, water and tea are allowed.

[On the Day of the Health Checkup]

①Please strictly observe fasting and refrain from smoking.

②For gastrointestinal examinations, in principle, do not take stomach medications, diabetes medications, or herbal medicines on the morning of the examination.
For other necessary medications (such as those for blood pressure or heart conditions), please consult your doctor before taking them.
