Gastrointestinal Oncology Program（Osaka International Cancer Institute）
We aim for early detection and non-surgical curative treatment of gastrointestinal cancers.
The department specialises in the endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of tumours of the digestive tract (oesophagus, stomach, duodenum and large intestine).
In particular, the accuracy of endoscopic diagnosis of early-stage tumours and treatment techniques using mucosal resection and submucosal dissection are among the best in Japan.
- Eligibility Criteria/Exclusions for Treatment
- Medical information in Japanese or English. If translated, it must be by a medical translator. Various laboratory and imaging data (including findings). Cancer screening is not generally carried out.
- Precautions / Contraindications
- All relevant information on medical treatment, including treatment, is provided to patients in order for them to fully understand about their medical treatment, and to choose their own treatment method and engage in treatment of their own volition.
Patients are informed in advance about the name of the disease, its condition and prognosis.
