1. Inquiry

We accept inquiries from customers who hope to receive medical treatment in Japan.

  • Please fill out the inquiry sheet and send it to JMHC.
  • Please contact us if you do not know which medical institution performs your desired treatment.
  • We may request preparation of some medical data obtained in your country depending on the disease you hope to treat.

2. Decision of admission to medical institutions (including second opinion)

  • Candidates are medical institutions all over Japan with which JMHC contracted.
  • Submission of medical information necessary for second opinion is required.
  • We may request additional submission of examination data depending on the medical institution or the symptoms.
  • Additional expenses may occur to get a second opinion. In which case, we request a second opinion from a medical institution after explanation to the customer.

3.After gaining admission to Japanese medical institutions

  • We confirm the patient's intent to receive medical treatment in Japan after announcement of the admission from the Japanese medical institution.
  • After confirmation of the patient's intent to receive treatment in Japan, we negotiate with the medical institution about schedule of treatment, and necessity of medical interpreter and Visa for Medical stay.
  • We calculate approximate expenses for treatment in Japan (expenses for medical treatment and related care, and hotel expenses) and request advance payment by transfer.
  • If additional information for the treatment or consent forms are needed, we request the patient to submit them.

4. Application procedure for Visa for Medical Stay

When Visa for Medical Stay is considered to be required, we carry out the procedure based on the treatment plan.

5. Medical treatment in Japan

  • When we guarantee the identity of a customer for Visa for Medical Stay, or when we are requested transportation service from the airport, our agent meet the customer at the airport.
  • We support various procedures from hospitalization to pretreatment procedures (informed consent).
  • We also support the accompanying person during the customer's hospital stay.

6. After completion of treatment and returning home.
