  • Cardiac catheterization, transluminal coronary angioplasty (Chiba Nishi General Hospital)

Cardiac catheterization is a treatment that widens the narrowed part of the coronary artery. The procedure is performed to treat ischemic heart disease by widening part of the coronary artery that is stenosed by atheroma in order to increase the blood flow.

【Target Diseases】 Ischemic heart disease (angina pectoris, myocardial infarction) 【Features】 Coronary catheter intervention is a treatment that widens narrowed coronary arteries to improve blood flow. In patients with ischemic heart disease, the coronary arteries narrowed by atherosclerotic plaques are expanded to increase blood flow to the heart. • Department of Cardiovascular Surgery (Chiba Nishi General Hospital)

We have introduced advanced robot-assisted cardiac surgery and practice team-based medical care aimed at promoting faster patient recovery.

【Target Diseases】 Surgical treatment for adult heart diseases and aortic diseases. 【Features】 Our department performs more than 700 surgeries annually, including stent graft procedures and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), making it one of the leading centers in Japan in terms of surgical volume.
