Our hospital is one of the largest specialized epilepsy hospitals in the world, with 196 beds dedicated to epilepsy care. We provide advanced and comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for epilepsy patients across a wide range of age groups. As a result, the hospital serves as a central institution for epilepsy care in Japan, receiving patients from across the country.

As a core medical center in the Tokai–Hokuriku region and a leading facility in Shizuoka Prefecture, we provide highly specialized medical care and information on neurological diseases, including intractable neurological disorders, through a regional neuromuscular network. We also collaborate with hospitals, primary care physicians, welfare facilities, and long-term care facilities to deliver medical services with a high level of patient satisfaction.

The hospital provides specialized medical care for children and adults with severe motor and intellectual disabilities. In particular, we offer advanced diagnosis and treatment for patients with severe motor and intellectual disabilities who have refractory epilepsy, as well as home-care support services, including short-term respite care and day-care support programs.

As part of international medical cooperation, we actively collaborate with epilepsy-related medical institutions overseas in clinical practice, training, and research. In particular, to support the development and improvement of epilepsy care in Asia, we accept long-term and short-term trainees and promote staff exchanges and collaborative training and research programs.
