Provision of Minimally Invasive Surgery using Endoscopic and Robotic Techniques
Provision of Highly Complex Surgical Procedures for Advanced Cancer
Our center performs approximately 100 esophageal cancer surgeries annually and serves as an opinion leader in the field, not only in robotic-assisted procedures using systems such as da Vinci and Hinotori, but also in a wide range of complex surgeries including tracheal resection and larynx-preserving procedures for advanced esophageal cancer. We also have surgeons who are capable of providing care in both English and Chinese.

- Program Summary
- Target Condition ①: Cervical Esophageal Cancer
In most cases, laryngectomy is required, which leads to a significant decline in postoperative quality of life (QOL). Our department has developed surgical techniques that preserve the larynx whenever possible, enabling curative surgery while maintaining the patient’s voice.
Target Condition ②: Thoracic Esophageal Cancer and Esophagogastric Junction Cancer
These procedures are highly invasive and often associated with a high rate of postoperative complications. At our department, we provide minimally invasive approaches, including robotic surgery, characterized by fewer postoperative complications and shorter hospital stays.
