Osaka Public University Hospital is the only university hospital in Osaka City with good accessibility near major transportation systems and plays the role of an advanced comprehensive medical institution as a core hospital in regional healthcare.
Designated by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare as a base hospital for regional cancer treatment, the hospital promotes the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic methods for cancer. In addition, to realize highly advanced medical care, the hospital is upgrading its operating rooms to accommodate the latest medical equipment and expanding the facilities of its intensive care center (ICU/CCU).
